The Power of Your Subconscious Mind- and How to Turn Them into Tangible Assets-6

How to Make Smart Decision by the power of Subconscious Mind.

This blog delves into the topic of receiving guidance from your subconscious mind. However, before delving into that, it is crucial to comprehend a highly perilous psychological trap introduced by HBR. Gaining insight into how your mind functions will assist you in navigating the mental obstacles that hinder effective decision-making.

The Framing Trap is a critical factor in leading to incorrect or adverse decision-making. HBR provides several examples that demonstrate how the framing trap can impact your vision, mission, and objectives. One such experiment conducted by researchers Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky asks you to imagine yourself as a cargo property adjuster for an unfamiliar company. Your company presents you with two options, both of which would incur the same cost.

Plan A: This plan will save the cargo of one of the three unit, worth £200,000.

Plan B: This plan has a 1/3 probability of saving on all three units., worth £600,000, but has a 2/3 probability of saving nothing.

Another Example:

Plan C: This plan will result in the loss of 2/3 of three units, worth £400,000.

Plan D: This plan has 2/3 probability of resulting in the loss of all three units and the whole £600,000 but has 1/3 probability of losing no units.

71% of the initial group of participants opted for the less risky “plan A”, while the second group was presented with options C and D. Interestingly, 80% of the second group chose “plan D”. However, it is important to note that both “plan A” and “plan B” are essentially the same, just as “plan C” and “plan D” carry equal weight. Essentially, the company is providing only one option and manipulating perception by reframing the plans. This practice of reframing with different reference points can be a mind trap that leads to poor decision-making. Consider this example: if there is a fifty-fifty chance of losing £300 or winning £500, would you prefer to maintain your current balance of £2000 or accept the fifty-fifty chance of having either £1700 or £2500 in your account?

Considering everything mentioned above, it is unethical to manipulate and deceive customers and consumers by influencing their decision-making process. Employing such techniques may yield short-term gains and apparent success, but the most effective safeguard against psychological traps is awareness. While it may not be possible to completely eliminate these traps, incorporating tests and disciplined practices into your decision-making process can help identify thinking errors before they translate into judgment errors. Moreover, practicing such disciplines can boost your confidence in the choices you make.

Exploring the process of tapping into guidance from your subconscious mind is an incredible endeavor worth considering. Many of us encounter challenging decisions or struggle to identify and acknowledge potential solutions. In such cases, adopting a constructive mindset is crucial. It is important to note that true thinking is devoid of fear and anxiety. By following these simple steps, you can uncover effective techniques to receive guidance on any subject:

1) Encourage relaxation in both your mind and body, instructing your body to unwind and cooperate.
2) Direct your attention towards potential solutions, focusing on their likelihood.

3) Attempt to solve it using your conscious mind.
4) Imagine the immense satisfaction and happiness that would come with discovering the perfect solution. Allow yourself to truly feel the emotions associated with having the ideal answer.
5) Relax and let your mind wander in this joyful state as you prepare to drift off to sleep.
6) Upon awakening, if the answer has not yet come to you, engage yourself in other activities and avoid dwelling on the problem. It is entirely possible that while you are occupied with something else, the answer will spontaneously emerge in your mind.

For instance, archaeologists and paleontologists engage in the reconstruction of ancient scenes. By examining fragments of ancient buildings, tools, pottery, and other artifacts, the past regains vitality and offers insights into earlier civilizations. Utilizing the shared knowledge banks of the universal mind, scientists are able to discern the methods, timeframes, and motivations behind the creation of these objects. Consequently, through focused concentration and disciplined imagination, the scientist awakens the hidden potentials of the subconscious mind.

By harnessing disciplined, controlled, and directed imagination, you have the potential to become one of the most scientific and inspired thinkers in history. In the upcoming blog, you will uncover the secret of guidance and discover key aspects to remember. I eagerly anticipate engaging in a discussion on any issues related to the power of the subconscious mind that come to your mind. Through active practice and application, you can reap the rewards and truly benefit from this knowledge.
